“I chose my field because it is the area of medicine that allows me to learn about and treat all areas of adult health and wellness. In the field of internal medicine, we have to be an expert in all body systems, from dermatology to cardiology. I was able to use this great base of training and expertise to develop specific subspecialty areas of care to customize my practice.
“I enjoy working with adults of all ages and helping to devise treatment plans that will offer them the best results – whether I’m treating illnesses, preventing illnesses or simply helping you look better and gain more confidence. I find the most rewarding part is the gratitude expressed by patients when they feel better, overcome a health challenge or reach a personal goal.
“I consider myself a partner in the patient’s care. I listen carefully to their concerns, consider their personal struggles and lifestyle and try to develop a plan of care that is realistic, medically sound and attainable. I like having patients who are active and involved in their care. I like helping them fully understand why I make certain recommendations. My philosophy is that it’s easier to achieve optimal care and health with a team approach, and the patient has to be an integral part of that team. I hope to give my patients my medical expertise, guidance and compassion.”
